Our Story So Far

Beginnings

In Neverwinter, your friend Gundren had a sweet gig to get rich and needed your help.

You traveled to Phandalin and helped him restart the mystic forge inside Wave Echo Cave.

While there, you ran into a pale elf serving a fire giant master. You killed the elf, but the the giants' servants were able to get the fragment of the Vonindod colossus out of the mine.

A friendly cloud giant invited you into his home, warned you that all the giants were up to no good, and asked for your help, sending you to Triboar to defend against a Fire Giant attack.

Once victorious there (Gilfry got his raven sent Straight To Hell), the retired Adventurer innkeep, Urgala, told you of a magic, giant slaying weapon of legend located near GoldenFields. The Smith asked you to look into weird magical phenomena at the Dam of the Belsimer Kings, that he worried was caused by giants. You disovered it was the Ring of Winter, and managed to snatch it up before some Frost Giants could use it to create an eternal winter.

To escape the Frost Giants, you jumped into a magic wardrobe and had to fight your way through the bizarre in-between place called The Outlands. You met a freedom loving Mouse revolutionary who decided to join your quest.

On the way to Goldenfields you found the dark merchants, the Zhentarim, hunting a friendly Bronze Dragon named Felgolos. You helped him get his stolen, magic smoke leaf from the desert lair of two nasty Blue Dragons.

To Goldenfields and North

Chapstick Supreme Quested to Goldenfields, waving goodbye to their new friend, the bronze dragon Felgolos, the Bronze Avenger. They found Goldenfields under attack, the whole valley ravaged by a mass of Hill Giants. They visited Lord Zymorven, asking after a renowned giant slaying weapon (Triboar person told them about). Zymorven's sons had absconded with this weapon, his heritage and wound up imprisoned in the Grudd Haug, domain of the Hill Giant queen, Guh. The group saved the hostages, and slayed the tyrant, Guh; saving GoldenFields and the brimming larders of its farmland from the threat of the Hill Giant raids, securing the food-safety of the whole Sword Coast.

The battle was not without cost. Salm was terribly thrashed by a full room of giants, and survived only by the unnatural aid of an occult tincture brewed from trolls blood. The battle won, Salm's mind was (throttled?), susceptible to the dark whispers of the Ring of Winter. He pressed a group of goblins and an ettin into his servants, previously servants in the giants' hold.

Salm and his retinue left the band and journeyed over-land, in search of hold of their own, a place where they could collect the power necessary to conjure forth the full power of umami. The group tracked Salm through a quickly growing blizzard and fought him and his lackies, and was able to seperate him from the Ring of Winter. The group turned towards Goldenfields to recuperate, but the blizzard had been a regional cloack worn by worn by a Frost Giant Cheiftan and his trusted advisors, drawn to the Ring of Winter. Luckily, with the help of a haunted dagger, gifted to Chapstick Supreme by the wizard noble, Lord Anstom Thargate, the group sent all the giants Straight to Hell.

Before the group had made it another full mile towards Goldendfields they crossed paths with yet another Frost Giant. They steeled themselves for battle, still battered and bruised from their clash with Salm. But to their surprise, this giant was one of whome the group had heard. Harshnag is a hero from the city of Waterdeep. He had been searching for an ancient holy place of his people, when he caught sight of the Chieftan (giant name), and, assuming he was up to no good, followed, hoping to forstall any harm.

Harshnag invited Chapstick to join him, Salm retired to a life of brewing, and the group journeyed far to the frozen north to seek knowledge of the Giant (Disruption?) and seek a way to destroy the evil Ring of Winter, to prevent an eternal winter.

The group found the dwarven settlement Ferramar, (bigly hurt?) by Fire Giants in search of fragments of the Giant-forged, dragon-slaying collosus, the Vonindod. The town was still being harassed by deep-elf scouting parties, and feared another attack from the giants. The group rescued a group of dwarves from a cave-in, and agreed to take a fragment of the collossus the Fire Giants had missed in their first assault on Ferramar. The group became good traveling companions with Harshnag, who is generally kind and helpful, and told the party about his past experiences adventuring, and how he led his friends to fight a white dragon who ended up slaying his entire group, with only Harshnag finally besting the beast due to his cold resistance. He explained his deep regret and his fear that he would bring ruin to those he accompanies.

The team forreyed on, through blizzards, under mountains, fighting raiding parties of orcs from the Thousand Arrows tribe. Climging to the treacherous slopes of mountains as gargantuan creatures hurled boulders down the slopes. They arrived at the Temple of Annam, god and father of all giants. They examined ancient mechanisms of the giants, explored their quarters, triggered their traps, fought a giant ice centipede beast with Harshnag's help, solved a puzzle, and talked to the ghost of the dead giant Eigorn, who came with his father to seek the wisdom of the oracle. The knowledge was displeasing to his father, the two of them fought, and Eigorn was slain.
