Seth was raised to be the next heir to the very small elven kingdom in another realm. But growing up, he found himself bored and feeling oppressed by his strict elven parents. After many escape attempts, he got desperate and found a book on blood magic in the basement of his family's castle, where he secretly learned magic.

He summoned an otherworldly fiend and made a deal: escape his family's home, and gain freedom, for a price. With little thought, he took it and transported to the small town the party inhabits. He gained freedom. The ability to speak with animals and magical powers. In exchange, Seth found himself weak. His hair and skin, turned pale. His eyes, red.

Over time, he found potions to keep himself going -- but formed a nasty addiction. Now, he secludes himself in a basement of the bakery, conducting experiments with Gilfoy and "contract jobs" with locals and occasionally mumbling to otherworldly beings
